The Orbico group is finally starting the construction of the logistics and distribution center in Zdenčina, which has long been announced. The reason for the delay in the start of construction lies in completing the documentation for issuing permits, as Orbico group owner Branko Roglić told Lider.
– We have finally resolved the paperwork and are continuing our investment in Zdenčina. Along with the one in Dugopolje built a few years ago, this project in Zdenčina rounds off the solution to the biggest distribution problem in Croatia, which is highly pronounced seasonality – says Roglić.
When the project started, it was estimated to be worth 40 million euros, but it is very likely that it will be somewhat more expensive due to rising construction costs. First, the first phase of Orbico’s new logistics center will be built in Zdenčina, a place located between Zagreb and Karlovac, covering about 40 thousand square meters. In the second phase, the center will expand by an additional 20 thousand square meters. Initially, the move-in was planned for the beginning of next year, but due to construction delays for the aforementioned reasons, the move-in will likely be postponed by a few months.
