RC Europe begins construction of the largest logistics and manufacturing center in Croatia

The largest and most modern logistics project in Croatia is entering the next phase. RC Europe Group, a large development company from the Czech Republic, has started work on the construction of the RC Zone Samobor logistics park in the Bobovica economic zone. On a total land area of 170,000 square meters, there will be an impressive facility of 86,000 square meters intended for rent. In accordance with the requirements, needs, and desires of tenants, the space in the future logistics park will be usable for storage, production, or office business.

The reputable company FACIES d.o.o. was previously selected through a tender for the construction works. They will ensure that the project is a good example of green and sustainable construction in accordance with the international BREEAM® certification and ESG strategy. The project will also include a solar photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 7 MW on the roof, as well as charging stations for trucks and cars, a modern canteen for employees, and a range of other features that align RC Zone Samobor with the highest standards for logistics projects in Europe.

A significant prerequisite for the start of construction of the logistics park was the completion of the access road with a bridge, a roundabout, a bicycle path, and public parking that can be used by visitors to the economic zone, as well as residents of Samobor. This access road also connects the zone to the A3 highway, which is only 1 kilometer away. Earlier this month, the road was handed over to the ownership of the City of Samobor. RC Europe also plans to continue investing in traffic infrastructure in the economic zone.

The location of this future modern logistics park is strategically very favorable – it is located near Slovenia and Western European routes, as well as the exit to the Croatian A3 highway, which is ideal for trade and logistics.
