To enhance information activities and actively engage citizens in topics related to the European Union and its policies, the European Commission Representation in Croatia is establishing the EUROPE DIRECT Team.

Europe Direct is a dynamic and influential network dedicated to promoting awareness of EU topics and encouraging citizen participation in public discussions about the European Union. As members of our network, you will have a unique opportunity to make information about the EU accessible to everyone. By providing clear and concise explanations, you will enable individuals to better understand EU policies and encourage them to be active in the democratic life of the EU.

Who are we looking for?

Members of the EUROPE DIRECT Team participate in discussions or conferences, events, panels, workshops, training, radio/TV shows, publish articles, and similar activities in accordance with their areas of expertise. Citizens of any EU member state who:

• have a good knowledge of the EU, its functioning, the latest developments, and the most important initiatives
• possess expert knowledge in one or more areas of EU policies
• have communication skills such as public speaking, facilitating, leading or moderating discussions or conferences, events, panels, workshops, training, including participatory democracy approaches, and appear in the media (in radio/TV shows) and publish articles
• have a native speaker level of Croatian, a good command of English (at least C1 level), and IT skills to access information or training provided by the Commission.

What do we offer?

Continuous learning opportunities: The Commission will provide members of the EUROPE DIRECT Team with relevant information resources, in the form of online courses, newsletters, and similar materials.

Access to educational programs: Annual meetings and/or training are organized in Croatia, and occasionally meetings may also be organized in Brussels. For meetings in Brussels, the Commission covers travel and accommodation costs.

Professional growth: The European Commission Representation promotes the activities of the EUROPE DIRECT Team network on its website and through other channels. You will become part of a community of independent communicators who share your passion for the European Union and connect with various stakeholders to expand professional networks.
