Director and co-owner of Bitahon Damir Golenko, a political scientist by profession, has been involved in the field of private security for 25 years, of which 20 have been in managerial positions. He received security education in Israel and America and realized that a comprehensive protection model should also be provided in Croatia. Four years ago, he founded a company that offers a complete service of technical and physical protection, operates positively, and, according to Golenko, has no competition in the domestic market.
How do you present Bitahon to business partners?
– Bitahon is a new security company in the Croatian market whose activities are focused on the development and implementation of comprehensive security solutions, designed according to the needs of users. One of Bitahon’s main brand determinants is Israeli know-how and unparalleled experience in security. Namely, the managers and members of the project team within Bitahon have built the foundations of a company that reflects more than twenty years of work in the security industry and have gained their relationships and specific knowledge and skills in renowned institutions in Israel and the USA, in training in VIP security and special training at the Wingate Institute, while our programmers have undergone various training at Microsoft academies. We are currently collaborating with Microsoft on a project in the field of AI.
What do you particularly emphasize, how is the company at an advantage compared to other Croatian companies engaged in the same activity?
– Our systems are a combination of Israeli technology and our software solutions, that is, Israeli technology and Croatian intelligence. At Bitahon, we use our own application solutions that enhance our service, making it transparent for the user with targeted, software-processed information in real-time. We create multiple security reports according to the needs of users so that the company’s management can make data driven decisions. Here we see and strive to make a difference in staffing in terms of programmers and developers we employ and covering all areas we consider important for a comprehensive service. Most security companies are focused either on physical or technical protection, and there are also companies that deal with information security. Bitahon is focused on the integration of security systems – this means that we believe that physical, technical, and information security must operate as a whole to provide maximum security to our clients. Our goal is to make that integrity and artificial intelligence available on the market under fair conditions.
What is Bitahon’s added value?
– It is precisely the comprehensive service that we are the only ones providing in the market. We try to be productive and reduce labor intensity, which is very important, especially in today’s time where there is a significant shortage of employees.
Bitahon is among the first security companies in the EU certified for drone management. What is the demand for drones and why do clients seek them?
– Autonomous drones, which we use at Bitahon, are a technology that is not yet widely represented in the market, therefore our service is unique in that we are among the first security companies in the EU certified for drone management. Drones perform security and safety tasks, and the flight is automated, meaning the drone performs a flight initiated by some pre-alarm or alarm state with information processing through our software. I would like to emphasize that our software solution makes most of the equipment that the client already possesses on-site smart, and the drone is certainly a quality tool as a first responder. Drones can also perform preventive patrol tasks with condition recording, alarming, and similar tasks or can perform some time-scheduled task, and the result is real-time intervention. A drone can have a microphone, alarm, flashlight, special cameras for different types of inspections of various activities (pipeline discharge, solar power plants, construction sites, etc.). The goal is to obtain concrete information in real-time to save time and improve protection. Therefore, the interest in drones among our clients is high, and their usefulness and advantages over classical security methods are quickly recognized.
