Controlling is becoming an increasingly significant function that supports management not only in private but also in public enterprises through its analytical-planning, informative, and advisory roles. Today, digitalization brings new challenges and uncertainties, thus requiring a profile of experts who will be able to analyze, assess the current situation, and predict future conditions, alerting and preventing potential risks.

The Faculty of Economics at the University of Rijeka has been training economic experts – specialists in controlling for many years. Enrollment for the 12th generation of the university specialist study of controlling is underway, according to a program verified by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia, which has been modernized in accordance with the needs of the digital and sustainable economy. Upon completion of the study, an internationally recognized diploma and academic title – specialist in controlling – is obtained.

The program is conducted by prominent professors from Croatia and Slovenia, as well as recognized lecturers – experts from successful Croatian companies. The study lasts for two semesters, and in the third semester, a final thesis is submitted. Classes are held ‘on site’ on Friday afternoons and Saturdays every other week, and ‘online’ attendance will also be enabled. All candidates who have completed a master’s degree (university and professional) and earned 300 ECTS credits can enroll.

Applications and enrollments are available at this link.

The competition is open until September 10, 2023, and the start of lectures is expected in the second half of September.
