With a delay of only 502 days, the Regulation on the Criteria for Conducting Public Tender for Issuing Energy Approval and Conditions for Issuing Energy Approval was published yesterday for public consultation.
Let us remind you that the mentioned Regulation is one of the subordinate acts that should have been adopted in accordance with the new Electricity Market Act, adopted in October 2021. With its adoption, the conditions for issuing energy approval, a key document for the development of renewable energy sources in Croatia, about which we have written in Lider.
However, even with this Regulation, the legal framework for RES will not be completed as the Connection Rules are missing, and the connection price is also unknown. Although at the end of last year, the transmission and distribution system operators sent a proposal for the Connection Rules and fees, HERA has still not made any decision on this. Until the Connection Rules are adopted, it will not be possible to express interest in the tender for energy approval to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
