Biochem Polska, a Polish company for the distribution of medical and pharmaceutical products and consumables, has acquired Kvantum-Tim, a Croatian distributor of medical products and consumables based in Rakitje. With this acquisition, Biochem enters the Croatian market and establishes a strong market position based on the Kvantum-Tim brand.
Biochem Polska, headquartered in Stara Iwiczna near Warsaw, is a Polish company for the distribution of medical and pharmaceutical products. The company was founded in 1996 as a distributor of pharmaceutical substances used for hospital production of infusion fluids and medical preparations. In the meantime, Biochem has become one of the leading distributors in the fields of anesthesiology, neonatology, oncology, and hemodialysis in the Polish market.
Kvantum-Tim, founded in 2002 and based in Rakitje near Zagreb, is one of the leading Croatian distributors of medical products and consumables in the fields of professional diagnostics, rehabilitation, and personal use medical products. The company collaborates with around 600 pharmacies, all domestic wholesalers, as well as numerous healthcare institutions in Croatia. The Kvantum-Tim portfolio includes over five thousand products from renowned global manufacturers, such as Rossmax, Intermed, Rebstock, Rextre, and others.
Kvantum-Tim was founded in 2002 by Marijan Buljat, who, according to the Court Register, is also the company’s procurator, while Zoran Leitner is the director. According to data from Poslovna Hrvatska, last year they had 23 employees and generated revenue of 2.5 million euros with a profit of 166.4 thousand euros.
Grubišić & Partneri were engaged as exclusive financial advisors to the management and owners of Kvantum-Tim in the transaction process, while the law firm Bradvica, Marić, Wahl, Ceasrec (BMWC) provided legal support, the statement said.
