Last week, the European AI Forum (EAIF) was established as a special entity in Brussels, a roof organization for artificial intelligence in the European Union, with one of its main founders being the Croatian Association for Artificial Intelligence CroAI.
According to the association’s statement, the EAIF originated from Croatia three years ago as an initiative launched with German and French colleagues during Croatia’s presidency of the Council of the European Union.
– Now, this initiative has evolved into a formal organization based in Brussels, representing a unique body at the EU level that will address AI issues and represent the European AI ecosystem. The mission of the EAIF is to be a link between European policymakers and AI entrepreneurs, representing over 2000 companies – they state in the announcement.
As an organization, they aim to accelerate investments in artificial intelligence, shape AI strategies, and align policies across Europe to avoid fragmentation and build bridges in the human-centered artificial intelligence ecosystem.
To achieve this goal, the EAIF brings together experts from nine leading European AI organizations, including CroAI (Croatia), Hub France IA (France), KI Bundesverband (Germany), AI4SI (Slovenia), AI Austria (Austria), AI Cluster Bulgaria (Bulgaria), NL AI Coalition (Netherlands), Digital Poland Foundation (Poland), and the Lithuanian Artificial Intelligence Association (Lithuania).
