Coface Adriatic celebrates 25 years of business in Croatia

Coface Adriatic last week organized a celebration for its business partners and friends to mark the 25th anniversary of the Coface company in Croatia.

Founded back in 1946 as a French company specialized in export credit insurance, Coface has been a global leader in credit insurance and risk management for the last 75 years. It helps its clients grow and develop their businesses in domestic and international markets.

Over time, the company has developed innovative solutions tailored to the needs and business strategies of its clients – from secure debt collection to advanced services for assessing and monitoring business risks. Utilizing expert international experience with over 4,700 professionals in business and risk management, Coface enables instant access to changes in ratings and basic data on activities, bankruptcies, registrations, and risks for more than 80 million companies worldwide.

With the expansion of international business, Coface established a company in Croatia in 1998, specializing in business risk management. The company was then called Intercredit Zagreb. In 2002, the company changed its name to Coface Intercredit Croatia, and as the company continued to develop in our market, the name Coface became increasingly recognizable. Over the years, Coface has provided support to its clients in Croatia through services for assessing and managing risks and through debt collection services.

The year 2016 was the first in a series of mergers and strengthening of the position in the area of services for assessing and monitoring business risks for Coface in Croatia. With the reorganization of the business and the change of the company’s name to Coface Adriatic, the provision of risk management services expanded to Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Albania.

One of the significant years was 2020 when a unique global information network with risk analyses – iCON – was presented to clients, which allows for easy optimization of business strategy.

A major success for the Coface group and SID PKZ in Slovenia was the acquisition that took place in 2021, strengthening the Coface company in the Adriatic region. With the establishment of Coface PKZ in Slovenia, Coface Adriatic from Croatia became part of the Adriatic Hub, specialized in the sale of receivables insurance and risk management in the area of 8 countries in the region, thus joining Serbia, Montenegro, and Kosovo to the previously mentioned Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Albania.

The challenges faced by Coface have been overcome thanks to the effort and work of every employee who contributed to the growth and development of the business, which was particularly emphasized in his speech by the CEO Sergej Simoniti. He shared his long-standing experience working at Coface with everyone present and Saša Marotti.

The year 2023 is special for Coface as URBA360 was introduced – a unique, innovative, comprehensive tool for a complete 360-degree overview of the business risks of your partners on a global level.
