JGL pays a dividend of three euros per share, a significant increase compared to last year

The Rijeka pharmaceutical company JGL convened the General Assembly on June 19, and among the proposed decisions are those regarding the use of profit and the payment of dividends.
JGL achieved a profit of 15.6 million euros (118 million kuna) last year, of which 4.7 million euros (35.5 million kuna) is allocated to the company’s legal reserves for unamortized development costs. The profit of 10.9 million euros (82.4 million kuna) is allocated to the company’s retained earnings.
Additionally, the proposal of the Management Board regarding the payment of dividends to shareholders from the accumulated retained earnings of JGL generated in 2009 and 2010 is accepted.
Shareholders of JGL holding registered ordinary shares, security designation JDGL-R-A, will receive a dividend of three euros per share, distributed as follows: an amount of 1.50 euros per share will be paid in cash, and the remainder of the dividend will be paid in rights, i.e., shares of the company.
The dividend that belongs to the shareholder in rights – shares of the company will be determined by multiplying the number of their shares by the total dividend of 1.50 euros and then dividing by the average share price of the company at which shareholders traded shares in the three months prior to April 24, 2023, thus determining the right to the number of shares rounded down to the nearest whole number. The remainder will be paid in cash. For the payment of dividends in rights – shares of the Company, the company’s own shares will be used, as stated in the invitation to the General Assembly.
In comparison, JGL paid a dividend of 1.8 euros per share (14 kuna) last year in the same manner. Seven kuna per share was paid in cash, and the remainder of the dividend was paid in rights – shares of the company.
The largest shareholder of JGL is Ivo Usmiani, who is also the chairman of the Management Board, holding 31.67 percent of the shares, followed by Sanja Katalinić with 10.08, Gordana Saršon with 9.92 percent, JGL d.d. with 5.28 percent, Eva Usmiani Capobianco with 2.7 percent of shares, and Gordana Božić with 2.4 percent of shares.
