Affidea Confirms Its Development by Expanding Its Portfolio

Affidea is the largest European provider of advanced diagnostic imaging, outpatient, and oncology care with a unique network of over 320 centers in 15 European countries. In Croatia, Affidea has been providing medical services since 2008, operating four independent centers, two in Zagreb – Affidea Čavka and Affidea Sveti Rok, in Split – Affidea Kalajžić, and in Šibenik – Affidea Vita. The company offers a wide range of medical services following the highest safety standards at both European and global levels. At the helm of the Affidea Group is Operations Director Marijana Pašalić, who leads a team of 140 people.

– Leading a team of 140 people is very demanding; it is not the same level of coordination and communication as when working with a smaller team. It requires great organizational skill, the ability to make quick decisions, and good time management. It is essential to have a clear vision and goals that you want to achieve with your team and to focus on their realization. Communication with team members also plays an important role in successfully leading the team – emphasized Marijana Pašalić, Operations Director of Affidea Croatia.

Affidea is continuously working on expanding its portfolio and investing in Croatia, having recently taken under its wing the renowned Polyclinic Eljuga for women’s health, which has now become part of the Affidea family. With this acquisition, Affidea Croatia is expanding its expertise by creating an impressive center of excellence with a comprehensive approach to women’s health. Marijana Pašalić emphasizes that the keys to success are clear goals and a properly set strategy, as well as the team of people without whom success would not be achievable.

– The most important thing I have learned is that there is always something more to learn. It is crucial to be able to follow changes and adapt to new conditions in the labor market. This includes not only acquiring new skills but also continuously improving existing skills, monitoring industry trends, and developing new ideas and solutions. Another important thing that one should learn in their career is to develop communication skills. Communication is key to successful business, whether it is with clients, colleagues, or superiors. It is important to be clear and precise in your communication and to be open to receiving and giving feedback – added Pašalić.

Affidea, as before, plans to continue developing and expanding its network of services. “What we are increasingly focusing on is working with our people, standardizing services across all our centers. One of our key projects is the development of the organization through the development of people, which we are doing in collaboration with Kata Leutar, who is an expert in organizational development and the owner of IMEA Consulting.”

By the end of the year, Affidea Group plans to expand its space and further invest in technology and the team. In Affidea’s organization called “Neuroradiology in Practice,” a gathering was held, mentored by Hrvoje Vavro, MD, a specialist in radiology and a subspecialist in neuroradiology, which had 90 applications. The gathering was free for all registered participants and recognized by the Croatian Medical Chamber.

– The idea of the gathering is that we want to selflessly share our knowledge from recognized experts, and we will not stop here – concluded Operations Director Pašalić.
