The continuation of record business indicators of the Končar Group from last year continued into the first quarter of this year. Compared to the first three months of last year, new contracts have more than doubled, reaching 405 million euros. Notably, open orders, backlog, have reached a record amount of 1.2 billion euros, increasing by 233.1 million euros compared to the end of 2022, and are the basis for Končar’s growth in the upcoming quarters.
Consolidated revenues from the sale of products and services amounted to 171.5 million euros, which is 46.2 percent higher than in the first quarter of last year. The share of exports in total sales revenue has increased, accounting for 64 percent in the first quarter. Revenues from the sale of products and services in exports have increased across all markets, with particularly large revenue growth recorded in the European Union market, where exports are higher by 30.8 million euros. Exports to EU countries amounted to 79.9 million euros or 73.2 percent of total exports achieved.
– Customers, especially in the demanding European Union market, have recognized the quality and reliability of Končar’s solutions, and the reputation built over the years has resulted in a record amount of orders – commented Končar’s CEO Gordan Kolak, also announcing that Končar will continue investments this year as part of the previously initiated investment cycle. The plan for this year foresees investments exceeding 60 million euros.
