Rimac Technology, one of the companies within the Rimac Group, is launching the company Rimac Energy which will work on the next generation of stationary energy storage systems (Energy Storage System – ESS), with energy loss reductions of up to 50 percent on 40 percent less surface area, announced the Rimac Group on Thursday.
The product portfolio of the Rimac Energy brand includes ESS for application in the power grid, commercial and industrial sectors, as well as highly integrated solutions for electric vehicle chargers. All products are fully designed, developed, and manufactured in Europe.
This step, emphasize the Rimac Group, represents a significant milestone for the company, which is expanding beyond its strong position in high-performance electric vehicle technology by introducing innovative stationary energy storage systems. Realizing the full potential of renewable energy production and promoting the decarbonization of energy grids are linked to stationary solutions of this type.
It is noted that the Rimac Energy team, a specialized team within Rimac Technology, has been developing over the past 18 months and now consists of 60 employees – all of whom are currently working on its first generation of stationary ESS.

As a result, Rimac Energy has developed a new battery architecture that reduces losses by up to 50 percent while occupying up to 40 percent less surface area compared to state-of-the-art solutions. Additional technological advantages include extended lifespan, built-in redundancy for increased availability, as well as competitive costs of the system itself and its installation – states the Rimac Group’s announcement.
The Director of Rimac Energy Wasim Sarwar Dilov emphasizes that the company recognizes the importance of stationary battery solutions to accelerate the transition to renewable energy sources.
