Merkur officially merged with Wüstenrot life insurance

Wüstenrot life insurance has officially merged with Merkur insurance with the approval of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency.

After obtaining approval from the regulatory body and the official signing of the contract for the transfer of 100% ownership of Wüstenrot life insurance shares to Merkur insurance, the merger process has been formally completed, and the segment of providing services of Wüstenrot life insurance to clients becomes an integral part of Merkur’s business and an essential part of its offering.

The change of ownership has no effect on the existing rights and obligations of clients, which remain in force in their unchanged form and content, they state in the announcement.

The merger is part of Merkur’s strategic business move to strengthen its position in the Croatian insurance market, particularly in the area of life insurance, as well as its overall portfolio with the aim of providing quality service to clients and partners. By merging with Wüstenrot, Merkur’s clients will be ensured a higher quality and upgraded offering of products and services.
