Marko Njavro appointed Chief Operating Officer of Franck Group

In early May, Marko Njavro will take on the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Franck Group and, along with Director Ivan Artuković (CEO) and Executive Director for Finance Lidija Kljajić (CFO), will form the three-member management team of the company.

As Chief Operating Officer, he will be responsible for managing strategic and operational areas with a focus on the sectors of Marketing, Sales and Distribution, Research and Development, and Supply Chain. In his new role, he will be responsible for further improving and modernizing business processes within Franck, as well as strengthening the innovative and developmental potential of the company and Franck’s brands, including Jubilarna coffee, Franck cappuccina and teas, and successful espresso products such as Franck Superiore and Stretto espresso.

Marko Njavro has over 20 years of experience and results in the fast-moving consumer goods industry with relevant international references. He joins Franck Group from the position of General Director of the Strategic Business Area of snacks at Atlantic Group, with prominent regional brands such as Smoky and Štark and an annual revenue of nearly 100 million euros.

With his team, he initiated and realized investment cycles in the categories of chocolate, biscuits, and wafers, successfully repositioned the umbrella brand, and made a significant contribution with the project to start developing production capacities, namely the construction of a new factory for extruded products, thereby laying the foundations for future growth and development.

Njavro spent most of his career in the beverage industry, at Zagrebačka pivovara where he began his career. He was the regional president of Molson Coors for Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which includes Zagrebačka pivovara, with an annual revenue of nearly 200 million euros.

He also held the positions of General Director of Molson Coors in Bulgaria and Marketing Director in Romania. Previously, he was at the helm of group marketing for key brands Stella Artois, Beck’s, etc., for nine markets in Central and Eastern Europe based in Prague, and was the marketing manager for Ožujsko beer.
