According to data from the Zagreb Tourist Board (TZGZ) and the e-Visitor system, from the beginning of the year until mid-April, Zagreb recorded 238,982 tourist arrivals and 512,738 overnight stays, which is a 29 percent increase in arrivals and a 19 percent increase in overnight stays compared to the same period last year.
At the same time, this is the highest number of arrivals and overnight stays among tourist destinations in Croatia.
Among foreign guests, the highest number of overnight stays was recorded by guests from Italy, followed by guests from Germany, the USA, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia.
Considering the return of guests from the USA, who have recorded 58 percent more arrivals and 32 percent more overnight stays so far this year, as well as the growing renewed interest from guests from South Korea and other Asian countries, TZGZ has launched a promotional campaign in collaboration with Turkish Airlines in those markets.
Activities within the campaign are being conducted throughout April on all digital channels of the airline, TZGZ reported.
