Since being declared the first hip-hop billionaire in 2019, Jay-Z has managed to double his wealth. According to Forbes magazine, the net worth of the music mogul was $2.5 billion in 2023, while it was estimated at $1.4 billion last year. The increase in assets is largely attributed to the sale of a majority stake in the cognac company D’USSÉ to the well-known Bacardi. Since that transaction at the beginning of the year, the rapper has earned $750 million.
His assets include a stake in the champagne brand Armand de Brignac (two years ago LVMH acquired 50 percent), a collection of high-end artworks such as those by Jean-Michel Basquiat, stakes in the companies Bloc and Uber, and, of course, his music catalog.
