Nenad Bakić, until now the largest individual shareholder of Varteks, with a stake of 39.38 percent in voting rights, has sold a large package of his shares to Marko Vučijević, as announced on the Zagreb Stock Exchange website.

Dubrovnik native Vučijević, who is the owner of Global Consulting & Intelligence based in Zagreb, has thus become the owner of 24.91 percent of shares in Varteks, while Bakić retains just over 727 thousand shares of Varteks, which grant him 14.47 percent of voting rights.

Vučijević previously did not own any shares of Varteks, which means he remains below the threshold of 25 percent ownership that would require him to publish a takeover bid for the company.

The transaction, as stated in the announcement, was conducted off the official trading venue, based on a Share Transfer Agreement concluded on March 29, 2023.
