Last year’s winners of the Digital Innovation Incubator shared their experiences in winning the title of best young innovators

Last year’s winners of the Digital Innovation Incubator powered by Hrvatski Telekom shared their experiences in winning the title of best young innovators in Croatia where they won a cash prize of 30,000 kuna.

As part of a project aimed at students from all over Croatia, which develops their creative potential, last year’s winners Antonija Orešković, Jozo Pavlović, Marija Pavković, Mirna Perić, and Tea Olivari developed their own innovative solution and demonstrated how to successfully bring an initial idea to a finished project.

The team of young innovators, inspired by the situation during the COVID-19 pandemic, aimed to create something positive and innovative and began designing a project that would successfully address the mentioned problem and facilitate enjoyment of experiences that beautify and enrich people’s lives.

– We wanted to design a solution that would provide people ‘from home’ with an experience they would otherwise feel at concerts, festivals, or similar events, thereby improving their quality of life – they stated in a press release.

There is room for everyone

Last year’s winners, inspired by VR technology and the option of 5G internet speed, devised a solution based on a package of VR glasses and an accompanying application that would allow consumers to experience a completely new experience.

– As we know, today virtual reality is an increasingly used term, we have devised a solution that we believe will soon be as common as the ‘Video Library’ option on MAX TV – they assert.

Throughout this entire process, they were supported and guided by experts from Hrvatski Telekom and mentors from the Institute for Innovation, and the students agreed that they gained a more serious insight into the business world.

– I would definitely recommend the project to every student because, in addition to excellent experience, numerous tips, and acquired knowledge, they have the opportunity to create acquaintances with many managers and leaders of large companies – said Antonija.

When reminiscing about the most beautiful moments of participating in the project, the students mentioned several different phases, but they could not hide the excitement they felt when they presented their own solution at the final event where the most successful teams were awarded.

As stated in the press release, there is room in the Incubator for anyone who wants to try something new, who seeks to invest in themselves personally and professionally, and who wants to start their business journey even during their student days.

This year, all participants in the Incubator can expect seven companies and industries with which they can collaborate. These are Hrvatski Telekom, Jamnica, Raiffeisen Bank, Studenac, Nova TV, Poliklinika Sinteza, and Školska knjiga, and all those who wish to join the project and develop their potential are invited to apply individually or in a team by March 31 via FORM.
