On Thursday, March 16, we will learn the name of the eighth EY Entrepreneur of the Year who will represent domestic entrepreneurship at the world finals of this prestigious program in Monaco. As announced, after the duo from Bomark Pak who celebrated last year, this year’s award winner will be chosen by an independent jury among 51 registered entrepreneurs from 38 successful companies, demonstrating that Croatia has visionary individuals who, despite all challenges, are relentlessly building their businesses and contributing to the creation of a strong entrepreneurial environment.
The global program rewarding the most successful entrepreneurs, EY Entrepreneur of the Year, has been held in Croatia since 2014, when Alan Sumina and Zoran Vučinić from Nanobit won this title, and also recognized as leaders of excellence were Đuro Horvat from Tehnix, Marko Pipunić from Žito, Mate Rimac from Rimac Automobili (now Rimac Group), Izabel Jelenić, Silvio Kutić, and Roberto Kutić from Infobip, Hrvoje Josip Balen, Mislav Balković, and Tomislav Dominković from Algebra, as well as Miljenko Borščak and Stiven Toš from Bomark Pak.
Regarding the significance of the program during last year’s edition, Berislav Horvat, Country Managing Partner at EY Croatia, emphasized that it is confirmed every day that the EY Entrepreneur of the Year program fulfills its goal of promoting the importance of true entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship for the economy and society as a whole. The jury president, Emil Tedeschi, highlighted that this award is proof of a new era and new ideas.
