The leading sanitary company GROHE has successfully equipped the School for Installation and Metal Construction in Zagreb as part of the GIVE program, marking it as the third school in Croatia. This is an internationally accredited program for vocational training and education in the field of plumbing installations, through which GROHE provides quality training materials, modern equipment, and written exams to secondary vocational schools in Croatia, as stated in the announcement.
– “Our goal is to enable all future plumbers across Croatia to access the GIVE program, which is undoubtedly adequate preparation for entering the labor market. Given that we refer to this profession as deficient, I believe that everyone who completes our program will find a job in the shortest possible time, both independently and with our assistance. Therefore, I am pleased that through this project, together with partner institutions, we are building a more sustainable future, of which qualified and reliable professionals are an integral part,” emphasized Martina Džoja Barišić, General Director of GROHE for the markets of Croatia and Slovenia.
The director of the School for Installation and Metal Construction in Zagreb, Dipl. Eng. Mechanical Engineering Darko Sušac, also expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration with GROHE.
– “The support in the form of equipment and training that we received by joining the GIVE program is a great incentive for both students and their teachers in everyday teaching. We are grateful to be one of the first three schools with which GROHE collaborates in Croatia, as this allows our students to become even better craftsmen, which have been truly lacking in our country in recent years. I am glad that GROHE recognized the challenge of the deficit in this profession and approached it by designing programs like GIVE,” added the director of the School for Installation and Metal Construction in Zagreb Darko Sušac, Dipl. Eng. Mechanical Engineering, and noted that vocational schools significantly filled the quotas for plumbing education programs last year, for which there is high demand.
At the presentation, students were introduced to the products they will work with in the future. Participants will, in addition to access to the most modern solutions in the sanitary industry, undergo courses led by experienced technicians, and after successfully passing written exams, will receive an internationally recognized certificate that will contribute to easier employment after completing formal education. Furthermore, GROHE will provide students with assistance in employment or the opportunity for work experience with one of GROHE’s partners.
