The value of completed construction works carried out by business entities with 20 or more employees increased by 12.9 percent last year compared to the previous year, while the value of new orders rose by 27.1 percent, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
A comparison of the last quarter of last year with the same period in 2021 shows a growth in the value of works by 20.7 percent and orders by 35.2 percent.
According to DZS data, in the fourth quarter of last year, the value of works completed with in-house workers by business entities with 20 or more employees amounted to 6.8 billion kuna, while at the same time, the value of new orders for the area of Croatia was 8.9 billion kuna.
DZS data for the entire last year show that the value of completed construction works amounted to 35.2 billion kuna, of which 24.5 billion was achieved with in-house workers, while the value of works completed with subcontractors amounted to 10.6 billion kuna.
In the structure of the value of works last year, building works accounted for 49 percent, while other constructions accounted for 51 percent of the total value of works completed with in-house workers.
