Zagreb firefighters received a report at 17:15 about a fire in the industrial facility of Rimac Automobili on Velimir Škorpik Street. This is a facility in the former Pevec branch. Three vehicles were dispatched to the scene, and as we learned, a battery caught fire in the testing part of production, in an isolated fire sector, so the fire could not spread.
– We can confirm that during the early-stage testing of the battery prototype at the Rimac Group testing facility in Jankomir, a minor thermal incident occurred. All our safety protocols were effective; no one was injured and there was no damage to our facilities, and the staff was evacuated and our extinguishing systems are functioning properly – Rimac Automobili responded, adding that there was no danger of spreading.
