Feelsgood, the first Croatian venture capital fund for investing with social impact, has signed an investment agreement with the domestic company VIDI-TO, which develops systems for intelligent education. This is an investment worth 600,000 euros that will serve as a foundation for the continued development and global sales of tools that connect children and teachers in the transfer and acquisition of knowledge through various stimulating methods of smart use of new technologies.
Positive social impact is one of the fundamental criteria that Feelsgood follows when selecting companies to invest in. This impact must be measurable and aligned with the achievement of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, regardless of whether it concerns environmental, economic, or social challenges in people’s lives.
VIDI is synonymous with promoting new technologies for the advancement of society and is one of the leaders in promoting the use of new high technologies in all aspects of life. Through its technological media and the first organized competitions for technological innovations in the region, VIDI has recognized many now-successful technology giants when they were still in their formative stages.
Later, it took on the role of creating the first Croatian development microcomputer, gathering domestic engineers and companies to promote the domestic hi-tech industry, and offered the Croatian education system a tool for learning STEM skills that could only be matched by the most developed countries in the world.
The VIDI X product is now available in 60 schools in Croatia, with access for over 24,000 students. Public schools from the United States and educational systems from the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Argentina, and Germany are currently interested in VIDI X and its new customized versions, which we will strive to produce in Croatia.
In Search of Innovative Companies
– Innovation is our passion, and encouraging others to work on innovations is key to what we do. We have patiently invested in education-related projects like VIDI X for years, focused on getting to know our users and the areas we will be dealing with in the next decade. We have met hundreds of teachers across Croatia, traveled thousands of kilometers door-to-door to understand what we need to do for them. I believe we have learned a lot in those years, and that is now the capital that has attracted investor capital – emphasizes Tomislav Kotnik, founder and CEO of VIDI-TO.
