Twenty international startups looking to expand their business into the German-speaking market have the opportunity this year to get acquainted with the Vienna startup ecosystem through the Vienna Startup Package program.
The initiative of the Vienna Business Agency, Vienna Startup Package, offers international startups the chance to stay in the Austrian capital for a month, allowing them to better understand the advantages of this city as an economic center. The package, which is awarded to 20 selected startups as part of the project, covers travel and accommodation costs and includes co-working space and individual business consulting worth €2,000.
It is intended for startups that want to expand their business into the German-speaking market or want to get to know the Vienna startup ecosystem, one of the most diverse and fastest-growing startup communities in Central Europe.
As part of the program, participants can familiarize themselves with the Austrian market, discover new business opportunities, and network with other companies and relevant stakeholders in Vienna. They will also be able to participate in interactive workshops and individual meetings.
Applications are open until February 24, 2023.
At the initiative of the Vienna Business Agency, the largest startup conference in Central Europe, ViennaUP, was launched in 2021, bringing together Austrian and international startups, investors, companies, and new talents. The first edition gathered nearly 25,000 participants from 60 countries and was held online, while last year’s conference was organized in a hybrid format. This year’s conference will take place from May 30 to June 7 in Vienna.
The Vienna Business Agency serves as the initial contact center for local and international companies and startups, providing them with free consulting as well as subsidies and the provision of business premises.
