The Eight Fastest Growing Professions According to LinkedIn Data

Nearly three years after the pandemic emerged, the work environment is changing day by day. Starting with remote work and new trends, such as ‘quiet quitting’ which gained significant popularity through social media, primarily TikTok, employee satisfaction has come to the forefront, so it is no surprise that one of the fastest growing professions in the U.S. is currently Employee Experience Manager.

A position that did not even exist a few years ago is now a touchpoint between senior and junior leadership within the company. In addition to responsibilities for monitoring and analyzing work performance and assisting with human resources management tasks, Employee Experience Managers are currently the cultural bearers within the organization.

This unusual job is increasingly in demand in American companies, especially in the IT sector, first due to remote work and the struggle with the pandemic, and now due to mass layoffs that American tech companies are experiencing.

Interestingly, six out of the eight fastest growing professions are some form of ‘manager or leader’, with the top of the list occupied by Revenue Manager, whose job description is to oversee all aspects of the organization’s revenue-generating activities. They are often closely linked with sales and marketing teams to ensure that the product or service in the market supports the company’s business goals.

Human Resources Analytics Manager is the second fastest growing profession, with a growth of nearly 60 percent recorded from 2018 to 2022. The duties awaiting the HR Analytics Manager include collecting, analyzing, and communicating all metrics and statistics related to human resources within the company, such as job performance, turnover, and worker demographics, according to data presented by LinkedIn.

The third place on LinkedIn’s list is occupied by Diversity and Inclusion Manager, who is responsible for ensuring a safe space within the company for every employee. The sixth place is held by Sales Enablement Manager, and the eighth by Growth Marketing Manager, who advise employees and ensure that the company achieves maximum sales in the market.

The healthcare sector has been significantly affected by staff shortages in recent years, which is why the seventh place on LinkedIn’s list is occupied by the Advanced Practice Provider in healthcare. This is a professional who is not a doctor but performs medical activities typically carried out by a physician, simply put, it is a ‘physician assistant’.

Along with numerous leaders and managers, the fourth place on the list is occupied by the position of Driver. Due to significant issues in supply chains that were widely reported and discussed last year, the demand for carriers has continuously grown, so it is no surprise that this profession has secured a place on the list.
