ROCKWOOL ranked 16th among the 100 most sustainable companies in the world

In this year’s Global 100 list conducted by Corporate Knights, ROCKWOOL has been recognized as one of the most sustainable companies in the world overall and a global leader in sustainability among companies producing building products.

This ranking quantitatively compares and ranks the largest publicly listed companies worldwide, equally highlighting the negative impact of a company’s operations as well as the positive impact of its products and services on people and the planet.

As many as 6,720 companies with revenues exceeding $1 billion were rigorously evaluated. According to Corporate Knights, the top 100 ranked companies also achieve exceptional financial successes that outperform indices since the ranking began in 2005.

Sustainable products and progress towards decarbonization

ROCKWOOL signed the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2020 and committed to a verified and approved plan for an ambitious reduction of one-third of total greenhouse gas emissions in the lifecycle by 2034, using 2019 as the baseline.
