Sonda & Kraš ‘Designed by People’: Users Will Design the Holiday Range of Kraš Products for 2023

Following the success of the first edition, within its Creative Center, Sonda is launching another Designed by People program and, this time in collaboration with Kraš, invites all interested parties to co-design Kraš’s holiday range for 2023.

Since participation is free, participants without prior design experience will be able to become part of the creative processes and learn through concrete examples, collaborate with design, communication, and branding experts, visit Kraš’s factory, and familiarize themselves with production processes and lines, ultimately seeing their design on the shelves during the most magical time of the year.

All interested individuals who wish to engage in the creative process and perhaps see their design on Kraš’s sweets during the upcoming holidays and find it on store shelves now have the opportunity to join Sonda in this unique program and be part of the team that will create a new and attractive visual identity for Kraš’s holiday products, which have marked many childhoods.

No prior knowledge of design software or previous experience is required to participate in the program, only a desire for development and familiarity with creative processes through practical work where everyone has the opportunity to realize the creative person within themselves, that is, to be part of a process that ends with a concrete product sold on store shelves.

This is the second edition of the program organized by Sonda, an internationally recognized and award-winning creative team that understands how to create globally relevant brands, strategies, and projects that achieve real market success, demonstrate the power of creativity, and above all, connect and create a better society. Sonda’s strength lies in creating with all interested individuals, and the working principle that Sonda believes in disregards the classic boundaries that exist in the client-agency-user relationship and creates a partnership as a basis for working on communication and creative strategies and the brands of the future.

After Elan, this time the project is supported by Kraš, the leading confectionery manufacturer in Southeast Europe, which has been marketing some of the most well-known cocoa products, cookies, wafers, and candy products for years, whose flavors connect generations. Recognized for high-quality products and nurturing original brands, Kraš is today among the strongest brands in the fast-moving consumer goods category, and for the redesign of Dorina chocolate realized in collaboration with Sonda, they won one of the most influential awards in the design world – Red Dot, as well as a special recognition from the Croatian Designers Society, which is awarded biennially at the Exhibition of Croatian Design for the best design works in individual categories.

The previous edition of the program was excellently received by participants.

– The opportunity to work with people of different profiles and professions who participate together in the creative process for a well-known product is excellent for anyone who wants to participate in a creative process, as this is how we create a creative society in which every member feels called to create a better tomorrow – emphasized Valentina Beg. Martina Močibob agreed with her, stating that the Designed by People program was an extraordinary journey for her in which she discovered a new world and that she would recommend it to anyone willing and eager to learn something new.

The Designed by People program is a step further in Kraš’s socially responsible business and a logical continuation of a successful collaboration that now allows all interested individuals to realize their creative potential and gain new knowledge and experiences.

The program is free, and this year it is also taking place with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia. It is divided into seven phases that include lectures/workshops and practical tasks, as well as field teaching, that is, a visit to Kraš’s production facility in Zagreb. The program will result in the visual identity of Kraš’s new holiday range, which will be presented and promoted to the public at the end of 2023.

Following the selection process, the program is held in a group of six participants. All adults, regardless of gender, occupation, or education, can apply, and timely completion of the online application is required: SONDA&KRAŠ DESIGNED BY PEOPLE_Application. The deadline for submitting applications is January 26 at 23:59.
