Housing prices in Croatia increased on average by 2.8 percent in the third quarter of last year compared to the previous quarter, while year-on-year, the price growth accelerated to 14.8 percent, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS).
This marks the continuation of the annual growth in housing prices in Croatia, which has been ongoing since the second quarter of 2017.
New residential properties in the third quarter of 2022 increased in price by an average of 2.6 percent compared to the second quarter. Compared to the third quarter of 2021, prices of new constructions strengthened by 17.4 percent, as reported by DZS on Tuesday.
Prices of existing residential properties increased by 2.9 percent on a quarterly basis and by 14.5 percent year-on-year.
Housing prices in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the second quarter of the same year increased on average by 4.1 percent for the City of Zagreb, by 2.8 percent for the Adriatic, while they decreased by 0.8 percent for other areas.
Year-on-year, housing prices in Zagreb also rose, on average by 17.9 percent. In the Adriatic, the growth was 12.8 percent, and in other areas, it was 13.9 percent, according to statistical data.
