Students of the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb Held a Conference on Political Marketing

The conference ‘Political Marketing’ was held for the first time on December 16 at the premises of the Croatian Academic Community and with a live online broadcast on the HAZ students’ YouTube channel.

Guests and speakers at the conference included Professor Željko Trkanjec, Zdravko Petak, a professor at the Faculty of Political Science, marketing expert Marijan Palić, and private entrepreneur Ivan Biošić.

The conference was opened by project manager Antonija Majdančić, and the first lecture was delivered by Ivan Biošić, focusing on what is needed for a political campaign, what political marketing is, and what political communication entails.

After that, marketing expert Marijan Palić conducted an case study and explained to the conference participants how to create a successful political campaign using examples.

We must not forget to emphasize that our speakers were presented with gifts from our sponsor OPG Krapljan.

After a short break, Željko Trkanjec and Zdravko Petak were panelists in a panel discussion titled ‘Do the Media Create Our Reality’. The panel discussion raised numerous questions regarding the relationship between the media, political actors, and marketing.
