The average monthly net salary paid in legal entities for October amounted to 7,745 kuna, which is nominally 1.6 percent higher and real 0.3 percent higher compared to September, while compared to last October it is nominally 8.5 percent higher and real 4.2 percent lower, reported the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS).
The median net salary for October was 6,560 kuna, meaning that half of the employees earned less and half earned more than this amount.
For the period from January to October this year, the average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities was 7,604 kuna, which is nominally 7.2 percent higher and real 2.8 percent lower compared to the same period last year.
The highest average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities for October was in air transport, amounting to 12,018 kuna, while the lowest was paid in protective and investigative activities, 4,935 kuna.
In October, there were an average of 167 paid hours, which is four percent lower compared to September. The highest number of paid hours was in auxiliary service activities in mining (180), while the lowest number of paid hours was in social care activities without accommodation (151).
The average monthly net salary paid per hour for October this year was 45.25 kuna, which is 5.7 percent higher compared to September and 8.4 percent higher compared to October last year.
The average monthly gross salary per employee in legal entities for October amounted to 10,521 kuna, which is nominally 1.9 percent higher and real 0.6 percent higher compared to September. Annually, the average gross salary was nominally 9.6 percent higher and real 3.2 percent lower.
