INA has secured 900 thousand kuna for children’s departments of health institutions. A total of eight hospitals received donations from the company, and in addition to the donation, INA has renovated the hospital spaces of the Pediatrics Department of the General Hospital ‘Dr. Ivo Pedišić’ in Sisak and the maternity room of the Clinical Hospital ‘Sveti Duh’ in Zagreb, they state in a press release.
– We have two years of hard struggle with the pandemic behind us, after which the hospital was severely damaged in a catastrophic earthquake. What is certain is that it will take a lot more time, resources, and effort for the hospital to start functioning normally. The intensive care unit is the department that has been continuously filled with severely ill patients during these difficult times, for whose recovery the beds they lie on play a very important role, and which are over ten years old with damaged electronics. Therefore, we will use this donation to procure new beds – stated the director of the hospital in Sisak Tomislav Dujmenović.
– Our donation policy is directed towards particularly vulnerable parts of society, and we consider it our obligation to provide support and assistance whenever needed. All experts agree that it is important to work on promoting and protecting children’s health from the earliest age. Especially at a time when various negative challenges of today affect children, it is up to all of us to try to minimize those adverse effects to ensure children’s well-being – said the CEO of INA Péter Ratatics.
INA has donated 7.7 million kuna to the Croatian healthcare system in the last 11 years.
