Mario Mesaroš has been appointed as the CEO of RALU Logistika, a leading independent provider of integrated logistics services in Croatia and the region, previously serving as a member of the Management Board and an experienced manager with many years of experience in logistics and transportation.
In his new role, he succeeds Mato Zadro, who held the position since 2017 and successfully implemented a cycle of structuring and business development during his five-year term. During this period, the company was strategically, financially, and operationally strengthened multiple times. This successfully executed the strategy defined by investor Luka Rajić regarding the development of RALU from a transportation company into an integrated logistics company.
Mario Mesaroš takes over the company at a time of expansion and further development to meet market demands for logistics services. Accordingly, a decision has been made to invest in new warehouse capacities worth 100 million kuna, which will create an additional 100 jobs.
With the new investment, construction work has begun on a warehouse with 6000 pallet spaces in Rugvica. After the new warehouse is completed, RALU’s capacities in the frozen regime will be doubled, while investments will also be made to increase distribution capacities. Along with the strong development of warehousing and distribution operations, the new CEO’s task is to continue the strong development of the transportation division.
With a strong transportation business, RALU Logistika is today the largest independent logistics company in Croatia (3PL) in a controlled temperature regime, primarily serving retail chains and manufacturing companies. RALU, as one of the largest logistics companies in the region, currently has a fleet of over 300 trucks and employs more than 600 employees in Croatia and Serbia. A significant increase in the number of employees is planned over the next five years.
Mario Mesaroš has been part of the LURA Group team, of which RALU Logistika is a member, for the last 25 years. He began his career at Dukat in sales, where he advanced from the position of clerk to director of international markets. He spent 15 years at RALU, where he worked in various roles: from sales director, procurement director, transportation director, to a member of the Management Board. In his previous term, as a member of the Management Board, he achieved the best results in the company’s history.
In order to successfully achieve the goals of the new cycle, Mario Mesaroš is working on strengthening his team. At the beginning of November, Renato Radačić will take the position of director of logistics operations. Radačić has dedicated 30 years of his career to logistics, gaining his extensive experience at Dukat, RALU, Unilever, Coca-Cola, and as a consultant at Blue Rock. Along with the continued strong growth of the business, he will focus on improving processes and ensuring service quality.
