In Croatia, there were 1.62 million employed, which is 1.2 percent more than in the same month last year and 0.1 percent less than in September, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
According to DZS data, there were slightly more than 1.73 million active residents in Croatia in October, or 0.3 percent more than in September and 0.4 percent more than in October last year.
There were 112.1 thousand unemployed, which is a monthly increase of six percent, while compared to October 2021, their number decreased by 9.2 percent.
The registered unemployment rate in October was 6.5 percent, which is an increase compared to September when it was 6.1 percent.
The majority of the employed, or slightly more than 1.4 million, were employed in legal entities in October, which is 0.6 percent more than in the previous month and 1.3 percent more than in October last year.
There were 196.1 thousand employed in crafts and freelance professions in October, which is 4.5 percent less than in September and 0.7 percent more than in October last year.
