The tenth anniversary international conference on controlling organized by the business weekly Lider and the consulting company Kontroling Kognosko has been opened. It is not easy to simultaneously undergo digital transformation, pivot towards ecological sustainability and the green economy, and survive a multi-year pandemic, war, and the subsequent economic crisis. That is why it is clearer than ever that those who adapt to changes the fastest will survive.
Managing companies overnight has brought new rules; most of the old no longer applies, while at the same time it is necessary to survive and grow, invest and maintain, transform and preserve what was good.
The tenth anniversary controlling brings the most current insights into the moment we are in, both in controlling and in the entire economy of Croatia, the region, and the world.
After two years of holding the conference digitally, the international conference is finally being held live again, and this time with a record number of 250 participants, eight lectures, and one panel.
The conference was opened by Jasmina Očko, a controlling consultant at Kontroling Kognosko. As Očko stated, never before have so many changes occurred in such a short time.

– Every company is now dealing with its challenges in its own way. Strategies and goals are changing, and in some companies, entire sectors are changing – says Očko, noting that business models are changing overnight and new rules apply.
The real question is how to lead an organization that is changing rapidly, and as Očko points out, there is no simple solution or magic wand that will solve the new challenges.
The host of today’s conference also presented today’s program, which covers everything from the future of controlling, sustainability, and procurement to crisis management and digitalization.
Očko thanked the co-organizer, Lider, as well as the sponsor, the largest international association of controllers in the world, ICV. After the opening address, the conference began with an introductory topic discussing how the implementation and adoption of agile concepts help in facing current challenges.
