Elon Musk, in his first email to Twitter employees, stated that he will no longer allow working from home and expects them to be in the office for at least 40 hours a week, according to Bloomberg News.
Musk, the billionaire who acquired the social network for $44 billion just two weeks ago, has laid off half of the employees and several directors, and announced a series of new measures, including introducing an $8 charge for the Twitter Blue subscription.
Musk told employees that he wants Twitter to derive half of its revenue from subscriptions, as reported by Bloomberg.
When Twitter reopened its offices in March, employees were told they could continue to work from home if they wished.
Musk’s move reflects his policy in other companies, SpaceX and Tesla, where employees are also required to be in the office for at least 40 hours a week.
