At every turn, in both business and private life, we are surrounded by artificial intelligence (AI) today. The technology has taken root and is replacing humans in some functions. While some view this as an opportunity and believe that technology can ease their daily business processes, others feel threatened by it and oppose it.
However, people have good reason to ask how technology will affect them, the future, and various sectors of industry.
What artificial intelligence generally means for our work and creativity was the topic of the panel discussion ‘AI-generated content is here – what does that mean for the marketing industry’, which featured Nikola Bojić from the Academy of Fine Arts, Angela Buljan Siber from HURA, Goran Kurjak from Vrisak, and Jan Stedul from Mindsmiths.
AI is not a competitor to human work
Frequently, discussions about artificial intelligence and the introduction of technology into work and daily life open debates about what people will do if technology takes over everything. Some perceive technology as competition, and often fear what the future holds with a strongly implemented AI.
Buljan Siber emphasizes that it is natural for people to fear new things, but at the same time believes that fear is unnecessary, especially at a time when there is a labor shortage.
– AI will not threaten us, but we older ones will need to learn some new things. There is a lot of work in the industry that no one wants to do, which is why this is great. Technology is here to make it easier for us and enable us to do what is interesting and creative – said Buljan Siber.

Stedul agrees, seeing no reason to fear artificial intelligence, which can facilitate many aspects of our work.
– I think nothing drastic is changing, and so far we have found a way to function with technology. By using it, we actually optimize what we can, and no one has lost their job because of AI. Artificial intelligence does not threaten us; it makes us more efficient – emphasized Stedul, adding that technology can generally only be negative for those who are not willing to learn.
