Zaba records profit growth of 547 million kuna in the first nine months

The Zagrebačka banka Group (Zaba) achieved a profit of 1.83 billion kuna after taxation in the first nine months of this year, which is an increase of 547 million kuna or 42.8 percent compared to the same period in 2021, according to the bank’s financial report.

Zaba’s nine-month operating income of 3.9 billion kuna is higher by 329 million kuna or 9.2 percent compared to last year. Net interest income amounts to 2.18 billion kuna and has increased by 46 million kuna or 2.2 percent. Net income from fees and commissions amounts to 1.21 billion kuna, which is higher by 163 million kuna or 5.5 percent than it was in the first nine months of last year.

Operating expenses of 1.73 billion kuna remained at the same level, while profit from operations before value adjustments and provisions for losses amounts to 2.1 billion kuna. Costs of value adjustments and provisions for losses amount to 42 million kuna and are lower by 339 million kuna than last year.

The assets of the Zagrebačka banka Group at the end of the third quarter amounted to 169.9 billion kuna, which is an increase of 11.4 billion kuna or 7.2 percent compared to the end of last year’s third quarter.

Net loans and advances to clients amount to 88.7 billion kuna, with an increase of 7.1 billion kuna (+8.6 percent) achieved from loans to legal entities and individuals, the report states.

Client deposits amount to 135.06 billion kuna and have increased by 7.66 billion kuna or six percent compared to the first nine months of last year. Deposits from credit institutions amount to 7.75 billion kuna and have increased by 2.7 billion kuna or 54.7 percent.
