The ceremonial event within the Lider Invest project has just begun at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb. The business weekly Lider launched it back in 2016, and it is an award for the best small, medium, and large manufacturing investments in Croatia aimed at promoting investments that create new jobs, increase exports, and generate additional value.
The mission of the project is to strengthen trust in the institutional and legal frameworks necessary to create a positive atmosphere that will attract future investors and to present, monitor, and reward manufacturing investments.
– Lider Invest is a project born out of spite because, unfortunately, those engaged in manufacturing have been pushed to the background in Croatia for years, and it is precisely such companies that create additional value. We are not only concerned with high turnover but with developed production – stated Lider’s editor-in-chief, Miodrag Šajatović. at the beginning of the event.
One of the members of the expert committee of Lider Invest is also Zdenko Lucić, the state secretary in the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, who also addressed the audience at the very beginning of the ceremonial event.
– I am a regular guest at Lider’s conferences; this is my sixth year as a member of the expert committee of Lider Invest, and I must admit that this is one of my favorite roles. This year we had a lot of work, there were excellent applications, and we selected the best – said Lucić.
By touring Croatian regions and holding investment mini-forums, Lider aims to provide entrepreneurs with the necessary information about the investment climate, initiatives of local government units, financing opportunities and sources, and we open discussions about projects that have been initiated so far.
