The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, has continued his unusual business ventures and launched – a perfume. He informed his Twitter followers, in his style, that entering the world of perfumes is logical since his last name is Musk (English: musk), and given that he has positioned himself as an eccentric in the business world, his perfume smells like – burnt hair.
‘Burnt Hair’ was realized by his company The Boring Company, and Musk boasted yesterday that he sold 10,000 pieces in just a few hours and earned a million dollars.
Eccentric Products
By the way, the company’s website does not reveal what notes his ‘Burnt Hair’ holds, only that it is ‘the essence of unbearable desire’ packaged in a ruby-red bottle with a crystal cap. They also promise that with this scent, you will stand out in a crowd, being noticed while walking through the airport.
This fragrant debut is not the only unusual product that Musk has launched in recent years. In 2020, as part of Tesla, he released the first tequila, as well as shorts celebrating victory over investors who bet he would not be a successful electric vehicle manufacturer. His company The Boring Company also sold flamethrowers for $500, but sold out 50,000 caps with the logo.
However, its core business has nothing to do with caps or perfumes but with underground tunnels. Six months ago, they raised $675 million to build a network of underground tunnels for transporting people and goods across American cities, and its total value is estimated at $5.7 billion.
