The new production facility of the bioplastics and anti-corrosive films factory ‘Eco-Cortec’, owned by entrepreneur Boris Mikšić, was opened on Tuesday in Beli Manastir.
The new facility, located near the existing factory, will house two production halls – for polymer processing and regranulation, where waste material will be recycled.
Company owner Boris Mikšić emphasized that machines for the new facility have been ordered and are expected to arrive at the beginning of next year, including the most modern recycling line, with production planned to start in the second quarter of 2023.
These are the most advanced recycling machines that can handle high levels of contamination, allowing us to process films without polluting the environment. Our customers, such as Volvo, Airbus, Ford, Toyota, Mercedes, and General Motors, are seeking as much recycled plastic as possible in their products, said Mikšić.
He added that the second part of the factory will focus on processing biodegradable polymers for use in the electric vehicle industry and the electronics industry, and there is already a project for a new hall with an area of 2,200 square meters.
