DHL Enters Aviation History: Fully Electric Aircraft Alice Takes Off on Its First Flight

The first fully electric commuter aircraft Alice from Eviation Aircraft successfully completed its maiden flight in Moses Lake, Washington, USA. Alice took off yesterday at 16:10 CEST from Grant County International Airport (MWH), flying for a total of eight minutes and reaching an altitude of 1,067 meters, as stated in the press release.

– Great praise to Eviation for the successful first flight of their aircraft Alice! The completion of the flight confirms our beliefs that the era of sustainable aviation is already here. With an order of 12 Alice e-cargo aircraft, we are investing in our overall logistics goal, which is net zero emissions. The range and capacity of the Alice aircraft make it a unique sustainable solution for our own global aviation network, supporting our aspiration for a global contribution to reducing carbon footprint and ultimately achieving net zero emissions by 2050 – said John Pearson, CEO of DHL Express.
