The Supervisory Board of Ina has appointed a new management and appointed Pétera Rataticsa as the new president, along with Berislava Gašu and Krisztiána Pulaya as members of the management at the proposal of MOL, and Miroslav Skalickog, Hrvoja Šimovića, and Marina Zovka at the proposal of the Croatian government, Ina reported on Wednesday evening.
The Supervisory Board acknowledged the resignations of MOL’s members of the Management Board of Ina and, at the proposal of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, dismissed the remaining members of the Management Board.
The Supervisory Board then appointed a new Management Board. Péter Ratatics was appointed as the new president of the Management Board of Ina, and Berislav Gašo and Krisztián Pulay as members of the Management Board, at the proposal of MOL and with a mandate until June 30, 2023.
Three new members of the Management Board were appointed at the proposal of the Government of the Republic of Croatia – Miroslav Skalicki, Hrvoje Šimović, and Marin Zovko, for a maximum of six months, until the appointment of members of the Management Board through a public competition.
Dismissed without severance pay
The Minister of Economy Davor Filipović stated tonight in the HRT News that the previous Croatian members of the Management Board of Ina – Niko Dalić, Darko Markotić, and Barbara Dorić, were dismissed without the right to severance pay.
The new president of the Management Board of Ina, Péter Ratatics, was already a member of the Management Board of Ina from 2011 to 2018 and is well acquainted with the company’s operations, they say at Ina. He comes to the position of president of the Management Board of Ina from the position of Executive Vice President of Customer Services of the MOL Group and Operational Director of MOL Hungary. He graduated from the Faculty of Finance at Corvinus University in Budapest and specialized in capital markets.
He began his career in 2007 as a gas trading and business development expert at MOL, and then in 2009 was appointed head of the advisory team of the Executive Board. Between 2009 and 2010, he also served as head of Organizational Development and Process Management, and from 2010 to 2011 as head of Management Services. Since 2011, he has worked as Vice President of the Corporate Center, where he was responsible for the area of human resources. During 2015 and 2016, he was responsible for procurement, investment, and communication activities of the MOL Group as Senior Vice President of the Corporate Center.
Berislav Gašo enters the Management Board from the position of Executive Vice President of Exploration and Production and a member of the Executive Board of the MOL Group. He joined Ina in 2010 as Director of Corporate Services, and in 2012 he moved to the MOL Group.
Krisztián Pulay comes from the position of Senior Vice President of the MOL Group for Refinery Business Development. From 2012 to 2016, he worked at Ina in various positions, most recently as Director of the Investment Management Sector.
Internal investigation
Miroslav Skalicki is an experienced manager and entrepreneur with 35 years of work experience in various companies in the energy sector.
Hrvoje Šimović comes to the Management Board of Ina from the position of full professor at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, where he has been working since 2003. In addition to his academic career, he has extensive experience in various consulting roles in the area of fiscal sustainability of the public sector.
Marin Zovko comes from the position of a member of the Management Board of Plinacro, a Croatian natural gas transport company. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb.
Ina also reported that after Hrvoje Šimović resigned from the position of a member of the Audit Committee at Ina from the day of his appointment to the Management Board, the Supervisory Board appointed Sanja Sever Mališ as the new member of the Audit Committee.
The Supervisory Board also acknowledged the findings of the internal investigation related to the “Škugor case,” which are also held by USKOK.
