VELUX Group Appoints Lars Petersson as the New CEO Replacing David Briggs, who has decided to retire. Lars Petersson is currently the President and CEO of Hempel, and he will join VELUX on November 1, 2022. Anders Götzsche, the Chief Financial Officer of VELUX, will serve as the interim CEO until then.
Lars Petersson comes from the position of President and CEO at Hempel, a global company based in Denmark that belongs to the construction industry. Before joining Hempel, Lars Petersson held top executive positions at Inwido, a Swedish manufacturer of doors and windows, and at Tarkett, a leading French manufacturer of parquet and flooring. Lars Petersson has been a board member at VKR company Dovista since 2019.

Lars Petersson is Swedish, 53 years old, lives in the Copenhagen area with his wife Annica, with whom he has two adult children.
