The first day of school is undoubtedly one of the most important events in the life of every parent and first grader, but also one of the most stressful for both parents and children. To ensure that this day goes as 'painlessly' as possible for both children and parents, EMPWR has traditionally provided all employees, parents of first graders, with a day off for the fourth consecutive year.
– Family always comes first. The memories and feelings of pride and happiness that remain deeply etched in the lives of children and parents cannot be measured against any business obligation. Therefore, this year we decided to give all our employees whose children are sitting in school desks for the first time a day off so they can be with their little ones during this important moment – stated Ivana Budimir Dautović, HR Business Partner.
– Taking my child to school for the first time and experiencing that morning with them, without having to use annual leave, means everything to me as a mother. I am happy that my employer recognized the significance of this day for us parents and allowed us a day off to be with our first graders – said one of the EMPWR employees, mother Nora Kurolt Bobić.
Such news certainly gives hope that the negative trend in the number of children enrolled in the first grades of primary and secondary schools will change.
