Three weekends to the jubilee Weekend.15: Exceptional speakers and top-notch program at the largest regional conference in the heart of Rovinj

A multitude of renowned domestic and international figures from various fields and industries such as media, public relations, IT, music, economics, and innovation will once again enrich the exciting atmosphere of Weekend Media Festival, the largest regional conference. The jubilee Weekend.15 will take place from September 22 to 25 under the slogan #SAMODOĐI at the old Tobacco Factory in Rovinj, featuring among others, Yossi Melman, the leading expert on international security, economic expert Vuk Vuković, and the youngest TED speaker Ghada Wali.

The creative, advertising, and media gathering through more than 35 lectures, discussions, and panels will provide curious visitors with new experiences and knowledge, primarily thanks to the extraordinary careers and achievements of this year’s speakers. The esteemed Israeli journalist and publicist Yossi Melman knows best the secrets of the dark world of espionage and what it means to care for international security, and he will open the Weekend program in a 1-on-1 conversation titled „What can we learn from Mossad?“ with Igor Alborghetti, the editor-in-chief of the weekly Express.

Nikola Dešković, the founder of the first internet company AutoScout 24, which dealt with the promotion and advertising of used cars, will speak about key steps for effectively launching a business and successfully navigating entrepreneurial waters, while Alan Sumina, founder and director of Nanobit – a local unicorn, will identify the significance and impact of mobile games.

Vuk Vuković will touch on current economic trends, discussing the hot autumn and the recession awaiting us in 2023, while Filip Dragoslavić, co-founder of the company Solrise, which deals with blockchain, will explain why WEB 3.0 is considered a digital turning point, alongside Nikola Škorić, director of ElectroCoin, a company whose mission is simple, fast, and legal cryptocurrency trading, and Ida Pandur, general manager of NEAR Balkans Hub.

One of the most exciting stories at Weekend.15 will surely be the conversation between Nikola Pavešić from Infobip and Michael Selden from Fineless Foods, one of the currently most interesting food tech startups in the world. As part of Weekend.15, the winners of the domestic Food Tech startup competition organized by Infobip, Maistra, and Pepermint, which started at the Weekend Food Festival in May, will also be announced.

Under the auspices of the Weekend, this year the Golden Drum festival is also being held, which rewards the best ideas, the most successful creative teams, and skilled individuals who have effectively brought innovative ideas to life, leaving their mark on the advertising industry, with this year’s main theme being Rebuilding Connection. On this occasion, the audience will have the opportunity to meet Ghada Wali, the youngest TED speaker representing the MENA region and the first Arab designer to speak at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. Fabio Seidl, director of global creative development at Meta, responsible for campaigns worldwide for prestigious brands such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Quest, and Jason Romeyko, global executive creative director and managing partner of Serviceplan International, named independent network of the year at Cannes 2022, will also perform in Rovinj.
