Regarding the USKOK investigation, INA issued a brief statement.
The Management and Supervisory Board of INA did not decide on the controversial contracts that are the subject of the USKOK investigation, the statement begins.
– Damir Škugor, who is a manager three levels below the Management of INA, had the authority to sign contracts worth up to 20 million euros with the co-signature of his deputy. In accordance with his powers, Damir Škugor is the signatory of all contracts that are the subject of the investigation – INA adds.
INA will initiate the process of terminating the employment relationship with Damir Škugor, revise all existing gas sale contracts, and initiate all possible legal actions while extraordinary meetings of the Management and Supervisory Board of INA will be held in the coming days. A detailed investigation of this case is already underway at INA, and consequently, additional control mechanisms will be introduced. The supply of gas to the market is not in any way jeopardized, INA stated.
