On Sunday, the endurance race successfully concluded the fifth edition of the Rimac Group Formula Student Alpe Adria competition, which this year gathered over 1,200 students from around the world at the St Rauš track in Novi Marof, as well as well-known faces from the automotive industry in search of new talents. The best teams were the German Rennstall Esslingen in the ICE vehicle category, while the Austrian Joanneum Racing Graz took victory in the electric vehicle category.
The weekend was marked by attractive dynamic disciplines that drew a large number of spectators interested in the vehicles crafted by ambitious students. In addition to the dynamic disciplines, competitors also earned points for their business plan presentation, engineering design, and the costs and construction of the vehicle itself.
On Saturday, as the sun set and a parachutist descended, a formation lap began with about 30 formulas led by the Rimac Nevera. Thanks to the attractive Saturday, spectators began arriving on Sunday even before the official opening to have the opportunity to watch the most interesting dynamic discipline – endurance. With the last vehicle crossing the finish line, the official end of the five-day event was marked, and the organizers were left to tally the results and prepare for the awards ceremony and celebration.
