Kerum’s nephew takes over the real estate of the Kerum company which is in bankruptcy

The Commercial Court in Split has issued rulings whereby three properties of the Kerum company, which is in bankruptcy, are handed over to the company Coast, whose director is Kerum’s nephew Igor Sapunar.

According to the court rulings, Kerum’s nephew’s company is awarded a business space and a small apartment near the Split HNK where the ‘Kerum’ store was located, as well as a business space of 64 square meters in the area of the former ‘False Witness’ establishment in Zagreb’s Amruševa Street. In addition, Coast takes possession of a yard, a house, and a well, and, as stated, a naturally infertile land of about 1900 square meters in Milna on the island of Brač.

The latest court decisions followed the sale of Kerum’s pig farm in Drniš and ‘Laguna’, a property within the former Drniš Mesopromet, as well as shares of Hajduk owned by Kerum in bankruptcy. The most valuable asset of the Kerum company recently sold at auction was the pig farm in Drniš, for which the company Hoteli Batuda offered 3.5 million kuna.

However, the Commercial Court in Split received a proposal at the end of May to annul the public tender for the sale of Kerum’s pig farm in Drniš due to a false public call stating that the property was ‘free of persons and things’ as it was determined that there were ‘people collecting scrap metal and grazing livestock’ there.

Representatives of Crodux energetika, as bidders, pointed out that at the last opening of bids for the pig farm Miočić-Siverić on May 25, the bankruptcy administrator Natalija Mladineo stated that ‘during the auction advertisement, she received information that there were people on the farm who were engaged in collecting scrap metal and grazing livestock.’ After such a determination, the bankruptcy administrator could only rightly decide to annul the tender and conduct a new one, it was emphasized in the letter from Crodux energetika.

On the other hand, there were no interested parties for the pig farm by the end of May. The starting price for that farm at the auction held at the end of December 2020 was as high as 9.1 million kuna, and it was noted that the advertisement for that public auction was first published on Njuškalo, and then in the daily press and on the court and Fina websites.
