In Croatia, there were 1.63 million employed in July, which is 1.6 percent more than in the same month last year and 1.1 percent more than in June, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
According to recently published data from the CBS, there were slightly more than 1.74 million active residents in Croatia in July, which is 1.2 percent more than in June and 0.5 percent more than in July last year. The number of unemployed was 109.6 thousand, which represents a monthly increase of 3.6 percent, while compared to July 2021, their number decreased by 13 percent.
The registered unemployment rate in July was 6.3 percent, having increased slightly by 0.2 percentage points compared to June.
The majority of the employed, specifically 1.4 million, were employed in legal entities in July, which is one percent more than in the previous month and 1.5 percent more than in July last year. There were 215 thousand employed in crafts and freelance professions in July, which is 1.7 percent more than in June and 1.5 percent more than in the same month last year. The number of insured employees in agriculture was 18.66 thousand, which is 0.1 percent more compared to the previous month and 0.2 percent more than last year.
